Protect Your Hair from the Summer Woes

The scorching heat and exposure to the red hot rays of the sun not only cause discomfort; they also harm your body. Summer months can be taxing for women who care about how they look. Every women wants glowing skin and long flowing hair. In the summer months, this dream can be shattered. There are various problems caused due to the existing weather conditions. Changing the brands of hair products is not advisable though. You may add some extra care to the list, but do not remove the existing list of products. One of the things that you must ponder in the summer months is herbal hair oil. The Ayurvedic formula used in these oils makes them penetrate deep within the roots of your hair and cure them. However, it is always essential to know the hair problems you may face in the summer months.

Whether you dye hair or it has the natural color, your hair is bound to be bleached out by the sun rays. Exposure to sun makes your hair unattractive and it loses its luster. The natural hair color may have highlights in certain places, while the dyed hair turns brassy. Though there are many products claiming to provide the desired sun protection to your hair, they do not have much effect. So, you should take your own precautions. Use a hat with UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) fabrics so that the sun rays cannot penetrate through.

The moisture existent in the summer air causes frizzing. Even if your hair is very resistant, yet it can be hampered if it has undergone any prior damage due to sun exposure or coloring. These damages will roughen up the hair cuticles and the water molecules from the humid air around will penetrate into the hair shaft. This will cause hair swelling. To get over this problem you can use a silicone based serum. The application of this product will smooth the hair cuticles and even out the roughness. It will also retard the absorption of moisture from the air.

Just like oily skin, oily hair can also get worse in the summer months. The weather makes glands produce more oil and there is of course perspiration to go with it. So, the hair appears greasy and dirty. The solution to this problem is frequent application of shampoo. Shampoo can eliminate the oil and dirt buildup. Though many women refrain from the use of conditioners, as it turns their hair greasy, but come the summer months it should be applied after shampooing. Conditioners protect the hair from sun damage and roughness.

Summer is the perfect month to go swimming. But as you know, pool water contains high levels of chlorine that can create a green film around your hair. If you want to protect the hair from this greening you should wear swim cap before taking the plunge. Just like sponge absorbs the first liquid that it is exposed to, similarly your hair would absorb the first liquid. It is thus wise to wet your hair with tap water before going for the swim.

Light massage with herbal hair oil always helps in gaining lustrous hair. The herbal oils also heal the damages from within without any side effects. So, they should be kept close by in the summer months.

Have Patience and Use Herbal Beauty Products

Everyone wants to be beautiful. To have long flowing hair, fair complexion and a toned body just like the divas on the silver screen. So, when you watch the same diva advertising for a certain brand of fairness cream, you tend to have faith upon her words. But she is just doing her part of the clause in her endorsement. You should be smart enough to realize the worth of a skin product. Products for the skin can have a great effect, or they can hamper the health of your skin in the long run. This is why trusting any and every skin care product is not a wise idea. Skin is perhaps the most sensitive part of your body and it is resistant to many chemicals. Sadly, the modern day skin or fairness creams have a list of harmful chemicals in their ingredients tally. This is why the knowledgeable people always opt for the herbal beauty products and refrain from chemicals.

Have Patience and Use Herbal Beauty Products

Though there is an issue with some herbal products. The basics of using herbal or Ayurveda products are to have patience. But it seems patience is a completely forgotten thing in the fast paced life of the modern generation. No one wants to wait. The commercials they view on the television everyday or hoardings they come across while travelling, make them believe that achieving fairness is an instant process. You apply a coat of the cream and the results start showing from the next day on-wards. If that were true then there would be no dark complexioned person left on the streets! It definitely cannot be so easy. Even if you happen to use the best cream, it will take its time to stop over-production of Melanin.

The worst thing about using the chemical laden skin creams is that they react with the skin. At times you may witness some change in your complexion, but that is only short lived. Chemical based popular products do not go into the root of the problem. They try to provide a quick fix. Forcing your cells to work harder then desired can cause adverse effects in the long run too. This is why you should always rely on the ayurvedic products that do not come with any side effects. You can continue to apply them for months and your skin will get better all the time. But as mentioned before you have to keep faith in these products. Mingling ayurvedic products with the chemical based ones will not give you any results, other than the allergic reactions.

The fast paced life led by the modern day women also causes a significant damage on the skin cells. Most women do not sleep for the adequate number of hours. Sleep is necessary if you want a glowing and fair skin. Though global warming has set in, but the women do not seem to drink water a lot in their daily lives. This again hampers their skin. The right food diet is also essential for good skin.

Herbal beauty products are definitely your penchant for a glowing and fair skin, alongside proper lifestyle. So, use them.
